Not quite a teapot

I think about this every night before I fall asleep because I often fall asleep with one hand on my hip and one on my head.

Don't forget about the Kickstarter for Awesome Possum, the natural science comic anthology! Next stretch goal at $1400 is stickers for all physical reward tiers.

Rabid Squirrel

And I scare all the clients because I am right next to the door of the training room. In our old building, I was hidden away in a corner.

Messy mess mess

Oh boy. When she said that, I think there were 8 drinks on my desk. They are all drawn on there. There might have been others I missed.
I am also well know for my messy and unprofessional desk at my current job, technical writer at a government financial software company. Fortunately, the cleaning crew has started taking away my empty soda cans. But they have yet to take away my awesome Leaning Tower of Tea Bags.
More comics about the Cartooning Studio workshop I went to in Vermont at the Center for Cartoon StudiesYou can also buy the whole book with these comics and the two mini comics I made during the week: Cartooning Studio 2013.

Sweaty sweat sweat

Huh. That fourth panel is me thinking a bit too close up of that sweat on my chin dripping into my comic. I would have been very upset. I don't think I have sweat so much in my life than that week in Vermont. I think White River Junction is to this day covered in particles of my sweat.

Dogs are the best

I don't know why my handwriting is so messy in this one. Probably too excited about dogs while I drew this. I can't believe how much I love dogs sometimes. I'm on zyrtek once a day now so I am not itchy so much when I pet the dogs, but my face sure is leaky a lot.
\That last panel is a bunch of fat-bellied Whippet puppies. So cute with their big round bellies, but they never get bigger as the dog does. I think the circumference of their puppy belly is about the same as the adult.
Anyways, I think I forgot to post this awesome image announcing that you can buy Spaz Hands Volume 1.
Abe this this image is so weird. He laughed and laughed.

Dog love

More love! I was in a good mood when I made these last two comics, I think.

Sad Sack

Sometimes I wish I really could crawl under my couch. But there is only like an inch of room under there.
This only happens when I post something to a specific person and don't get a response in a few hours. Which is asking a lot, I know. Such a sad sack.

Also!! Don't forget I will be at table 52 at Bellingham ComiCon this Saturday! Come say hi.

:3

What was I thinking when I drew this?! I drew it a while ago, so I could not tell you.
Couple things. This weekend is 24-hour comic day and if you draw comics, you should try it. It is super fun. I have only done it once, and not on that actual 24-hr comic day. I did complete a 24-page comic though.
Also! I will be at Bellingham Comicon next weekend. I'll send more reminders next week.
I am also super excited because I start my Natural Science Illustration classes next week. I have no idea what to expect. Well, little idea. Well, only some idea. I did go to the preview class a few months ago. Should be a grand old time. I am very excited and will post my classwork somewhere. Probably in inkyphalangies.blogspot.com and on my deviantart.

Up in the sky!

This was just so ridiculous. I can't believe pterodactyl was my first thought.
To give a little context, on my drives to and from work, I often like to pretend there are dinosaurs and how the current road system would be different if dinosaurs came back. Like huge steel girders over the roads or something? I don't know.

Yoga Butt

I'm back from the Cartooning Studio workshop at the Center for Cartoon Studies in Vermont and it was amazing. I had such a great time. I made two comics and am writing up a bunch of autobio comics. I will compile these into a comic. I am half way done with the autobio comics. I will be at Portland Zine Symposium this weekend, so I hope to be amazing and have the new comic read and printed by then. BUT! Abe is super super busy at work, so he might not be able to print it. So we'll see.

Yoga watchers

Oh yoga. You make me so paranoid. Not really the point is it.

Still in Vermont. I wonder how Abe and the dogs are doing without me.

Birthday Crazy

Then I slowly tracked less and less until I stopped tracking my food entirely for about three weeks. Just getting back into the swing of things now.

Ice cream truck

I don't think I have ever gotten ice cream from an ice cream truck. What a sad little life I lead.
There's an ice cream truck that drives by our apartment. I can hear it, but I never know where it is. And I never have cash. And I'm too embarrassed to actually go.

The Hobbit

I know a lot of people seem to have not enjoyed The Hobbit, but I really did. I never read the book, but I watched the cartoon movie from the 80s or whenever a bunch when I was littler.
The pacing was wacky. And the fact that the brown wizard has poop on his face makes up for the lame fat dwarf.

Self-censorship

I don't remember what made me think of this. And I don't really blame my mom. I just needed another panel.

Shoes in the bathroom

If you are wondering, yes this was inspired by the work in the bathroom, but not because I farted. Though that would have been so awful. Just in general, who wants to be recognized when their pants are down?
Anyways, this comic was first published in inkt|art! Yes, I have 5 Gertrude comics in the premier issue of inkt|art. Some you will recognize. Some you won't. This is one of them. You should check out the issue. There is some interesting stuff in there.
